I’m thrilled to have Ryann Hilton as my first guest of 2020. As one of my coaching clients and a dear colleague, Ryann is the founder of Nourish RX, and shares with us her journey of growing a practice in alignment with her goals, with plenty of examples and advice for listeners at any stage of their career.
Launching a practice right out of the gate of a Dietetics internship, Ryann takes us through the early days when she was fast-tracked to become a solo practice owner. Starting with humble beginnings working out of a renovated closet as a make-shift office for 6.5 years, we hear how she navigated the scary transition to a larger office space and growing her team.
Now three years later after continual expansion and learning curves, Ryann reveals her new challenges that come with growth, and her plans to cultivate and develop a team with their career goals in alignment with the goals of the practice.
Ryann Hilton is the owner of NourishRX, a group nutrition practice north of Boston specializing in the treatment of eating disorders and related body image concerns. She is a graduate of Simmons University with a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics and is certified by the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals Foundation (IAEDP) as a Certified Eating Disorders Registered Dietitian (CEDRD).
She has provided nutrition treatment to individuals in all levels of eating disorder care: outpatient, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, residential and inpatient and has previously served as the PHP/IOP dietitian at Walden Behavioral Care, a Boston area eating disorder and psychiatric treatment center. As the Pediatric and Adolescent Outpatient dietitian at Mass General Hospital for Children at North Shore Medical Center she was a member of the multidisciplinary feeding therapy team working closely with occupational therapists and speech and language pathologists to assess the nutritional needs for children with ARFID, ADD/ADHD, dysphagia and growth related concerns.
